Learn More About Me

As a Board-Certified Family Physician with two decades of experience in both clinical practice and healthcare leadership, I’m passionate about advancing health literacy and empowering patients through education. I was born and raised in southwest Louisiana (sending love to St. Mary Parish!) and completed my undergraduate studies at Xavier University in New Orleans, earning a B.S. in Biology. I went on to Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, for medical school, and matched with the Family Medicine Residency Program at LSU Health Science Center in Lafayette, LA.

Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to providing compassionate care with respect and empathy. I’ve been fortunate to share many special moments with patients, some of whom I still hear from today. I’m grateful for the thoughtful cards, heartfelt gifts, and words of appreciation that remind me of the impact we’ve made together.

Though the healthcare landscape has evolved, my desire to support and educate others remains strong. Through The Good Doctor's Perspective, I’m excited to continue making a difference, just in a new way. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my parents, siblings, husband, and children, who have been with me every step of this journey.
